Email Marketing 1

ALL IN EMAIL MARKETING

HOW DOES EMAIL MARKETING WORK

So you know a bit, about what email marketing is, but how does it work?  Think about it this way, businesses need to have an audience, to whom they can pitch and sell their goods and services to. However, they can't sell to their audience if they don't make a compelling enough argument and get that information in front of the right people.  Over the years, the way businesses go about doing this has changed.  Television allowed advertisers to market products to a giant audience during commercial breaks and they couldn't choose to skip past them.  Telemarketing was once a great way to target specific consumers when you knew they'd be at home. However, it was really easy to hang up on them.

Now having strong copywriting, compelling creative content is more effective when paired with a great design layout.  Both of these are essential aspects of most every email marketing campaign. It's not enough just to talk about your product or service.  You need to engage that reader and convince them of the fact they need to take some action.  It must be interesting and valuable and it needs to get them to follow your instructions. Add a special offer, include an exclusive gift then when they're hooked include a strong call-to-action of either visiting your brick-and-mortar store, visiting your online store, checking out your website or simply replying to the email you've sent out. It's not just the body of the email, though the subject line should be instantly interesting and relevant.

The problem is it can be a real challenge to create the list itself and get people to take action.  Fortunately, there are tons of ways to create an effective email list, including paid searches events and exclusive offers.  If you're not taking time to build a healthy email list, then you're letting many opportunities slip through your fingers.

Because they chose to sign up for those emails the open rates are higher than if the audience was not targeted and exclusive.  There's also the fact that pretty much everyone who uses the Internet checks his or her email at least a couple times a day.  Because of this, marketers use email to send their consumer's personalized relevant messages that further demonstrate the brand's value and the value within their products and services.

Finally, email offers trackable measurements that other types of marketing don't.  For example, transactional emails make it possible for businesses to keep track of consumer purchase behavior, abandonment of their shopping carts or any upcoming events, holidays or birthdays that directly relate to the consumer.  The only real disadvantage of email marketing comes from the rejection and spam ray.  It's caused by the consumer's email service affecting the delivery of the email.  This is why opt-in forms are as important as they give clear concise evidence that the consumer wanted to receive those emails.  In addition, that anything they do receive is not unsolicited.  Knowing the how and the why aren't enough though.  Therefore, as we've touched on just a bit ago, there are three main aspects to email marketing.  These components are:

Cellphone app ads also offer a way to get products in front of new audiences, but they can be easily ignored email.  You want something that stands out, it’s modern, and it has evolved along with technology and offers a whole variety of options for marketing products and services to your target audiences.  Sure, they can always click it into the trash, but there are ways to grab attention and get them to open that offer you've sent out.  In fact, emails are 40 times more effective when it comes to getting new customers than either Facebook or Twitter.  DMA states that email has the highest conversion rate, around sixty-six percent, compared to social direct mail and other types of marketing.  When it comes to purchasing results from getting a marketing message, email marketing offers an affordable fast way of reaching a large audience.  It's also easy to track how well your campaigns are doing and it saves money on paper and postal fees.

Fortunately, marketing automation and email automation software is available to help you grow your business.  Email marketing automation software and programs establish connections between all of your marketing channels.  With the software in place, your leads can be managed, measured, and generated which lets your marketing staff focus more on quality of the campaign, and less on the quantity.  It also means that more people are able to focus on their aspects of daily business operations.

Imagine being able to have just one person send out thousands if not hundreds of thousands of emails per day.  Imagine being able to personalize an email to ensure optimal conversion rates.  Automation makes it a million times easier to do these things, so you can build the brand trust you need to get your products and services in front of your target audience.  It also collects data on your subscriber’s demographics, purchase behavior interests, and common problems, this makes it easier to nurture your leads and send out the most targeted personalized emails possible.

Additionally, email marketing automation software saves time and money, gives your revenue a significant boost, makes it easier to maintain consistent branding across multiple channels, and is easy for a variety of people to use even the least tech-savvy employees would be able to easily learn and utilize the programs.  Email marketing is an essential aspect of any business and its most effective means of turning online visitors into loyal customers.  It involves building a healthy list of subscribers who choose to sign up and receive regular updates newsletters and offers from you.  Utilizing creative engaging content that compels your reader to take action, targeting your emails to ensure each one is directly relevant to your subscribers including an incentivized offer that demonstrates your brand's value and is too helpful to simply pass up.

There are plenty of different email marketing automation options available, they save time and money and make it easier to focus on the quality of your campaigns.  With email marketing, you get an incentive for subscribing to your list.  Such as, free eBooks, case studies, templates, or printable, or whatever else lines up with your brand and services.  They fill out a short opt-in form and then confirm their subscription.  Also known as their wish to receive newsletter updates and offers from the door company. Once the subscriber has opened a couple of your emails they'll see your brand's value, your offer of helpful information and solutions to their problems and products and services that directly relate to their interests.  Once the consumer trust is established, the subscriber then turns into a customer by making a purchase, by following one of the links in your email.

In fact, 42 percent of businesses claim email is the most effective lead generation channel they have, and 88% of marketers say email is bringing them a positive ROI with it generally being double.  That of search advertising email performs far better than any other direct marketing channel.  55% of companies generate more than 10 percent of their sales from email marketing.  Let's make sure yours is one of the businesses and other advertisers are able to reach a huge number of list subscribers who have made a conscious decision to receive email newsletters and other offers.

Like buying, a list from someone else may seem like a great way to jump-start your efforts, but in the long run, it'll ruin your sender reputation.  Purchase lists will usually have high spam complaints even if the addresses are legally collected and the privacy policy clearly stated that their information will be freely shared.  That subscriber did not opt-in to get emails from you emailing subscribers that haven't opted into your specific business, is the pure definition of spamming.  Avoid this method of list building entirely.  Instead, include an opt-in form on your landing page along with a tempting offer.  This way your emails are much more likely to be opened, read and acted upon.  It's about bringing value to your subscribers, so the incentivizing offer tripe.  You know it's important to build a list, but how do you get people to sign up in the first place?  By making a great offer, of course, if you don't have any products that will lure more subscribers, there's still no need to stress.  There are several resources available where you can get some eBooks videos, even software to give away.  Try searching the internet for PLR or private label rights websites.  Many of these websites offer free products or you may pay for others as well.

Email marketing has been around from the very first moment the internet was introduced. Giving consumers plenty of brand options and access to new products and services, from their favorite businesses, effective email marketing makes all the difference in sales consumer, trust, and your brand's reputation.  The most effective email marketing turns visitors into subscribers and subscribers into customers.  So how do you get there?  With a list, one of the most valuable marketing aspects small businesses have is a healthy active and engaged email list.  Keeping on top of your list and using it effectively will significantly boost revenue.

This is why strong copywriting is essential.  As you can see the email marketing really isn't the easiest thing in the world, it's definitely a challenge and requires a lot of time and effort.  Generally, this requires the marketing department to spend valuable time and resources on things that include boring tasks like email campaigns, social media updates and the creation of incentivized opt-in forms.

You want to make sure your email isn't going to get lost in the recipient's inbox just waiting there unopened with all other offers from competing businesses.  It's time to put some of the things you've learned into action.  Complete the following actual steps to start building a healthy email list that gets results, determines your target audience demographics, past purchase behaviors needs interest wants etc. Create a customer profile that represents members of your target audience.  You'll use this when creating templates for your email campaigns.  Create opt-in forms on your websites so visitors can convert into subscribers and don't forget to incentivize them.

Those people have chosen to subscribe, so they're already interested in what you have to say and offer.  They are more likely to buy your product or service rather than just random people visiting your website.

Another important component of email marketing is having an incentivized offer.  This should be on both the initial opt-in form and every email you send out.  Call to actions are important on their own, but they carry more weight and yield better results when your subscriber feels like they're getting something valuable out of it all.  It's like saying; I'll trade you this bit of information for your email address on your opt-in form.  You could offer a free eBook that is exclusively available for those who sign up.  Once they've signed up, continue this in your emails by having a strong call-to-action in each one.  You can send them to your site to read a recent blog post that will offer valuable information or special discounts that can only be used by going through the newsletter.  Special discounts tend to gain a lot of customer interest, especially when they are targeted for their past purchase behavior and relevant interests.  While it's true, not everyone will take advantage of the offer. The traffic gives your business a great chance to show off all the goods and services you have available.  You want the offer to be valuable enough for the person to subscribe to your list.  So it needs to be compelling enough for them to want to regularly receive newsletters or continue visits to your website.  This gets your name in front of them over and over again, meaning they will think of your brand when they're looking for a related product or need a service your brand offers.

Build a healthy email list.  Without an email list, how are you supposed to send out email marketing campaigns and whom would you even send them to?  You can't have just any list either because that won't work. You could get all the paid views you've ever hoped for by sending out emails to random people, but your business still won't go anywhere if none of those views convert to sales.  The trick to having a healthy email list comes from having a targeted audience to whom you send those emails.  The problem is building a viable list can be quite a challenge. Although building a list from scratch may be time-consuming, it is well worth it shortcuts.

Sounds like a perfect marketing solution, right.  It's fairly straightforward, inexpensive and can reach a targeted audience faster than any other marketing channel.  However, is it really necessary?  Yes, email marketing is one of the most important ways for businesses to get their products and services in front of their target audience.  It has some pretty big advantages over traditional marketing.  It's easy to calculate the exact return on investment or ROI from each campaign you send out.  When email marketing has been correctly and efficiently, this measurement tends to be quite high.

Without these three main components, it'll be hard for your email marketing campaigns to take off and bring about the results that you're looking for.

The subject line is the first thing your reader is going to see and it makes all the difference between your emails being opened or simply going into the trash without so much as a glance.  Given you, want the subject line to give enough information about the email for your reader to know what to expect.  However, it should be enticing enough to make them want to open that email.  Here are some good tips. Use the subscriber’s first name, creating a sense of urgency including a powerful call to actions. Giving a must-read feeling, Email marketing campaigns rely on you being able to engage your prospective customers.  Keep your regular customers coming back and getting readers to take action.
